WhiteBox is now accepting submissions from talented artists and creative curators for captivating between one-day and 4-week projects on a rolling basis. Your work will be featured in our vibrant physical space and dynamic online projects. Please note that we will only accept two concepts annually for the show. On days when there is a performance, video, or noise music, we always have our doors open. Don’t miss out - submit your proposals now and be part of our esteemed lineup!
The non-refundable application fee for any project is $25.
WhiteBox at 9 Avenue B will be accessible daily, Tuesday-Friday 11:30-6pm; Saturday 12-6pm, and provides:

Basic work tables and chairs

Basic overhead lighting

Electricity
-
Wi-Fi
ELIGIBILITY:
-
Artists and collective groups working in various mediums are encouraged to apply.

All submitted artwork must be ready for hanging or installation.

Artists based in New York City and international artists are encouraged to submit.

Diverse projects contain solo shows, group shows, art fairs, exhibits, and performances.
-
WhiteBox will be glad to support the project budget with 40% of the exhibit cost from its discretionary funds.

HOW TO APPLY
Please see our floor plan below and fill out the included form. Upload images or links of videos, an Artist Statement, and a CV. It is strictly confidential, and your information will not be shared. Looking forward to seeing your work!

APPLICATION MATERIALS / EXHIBITION PROPOSAL FORM
The following information has to be included in your application:

A 500-word proposal outlining your plans and goals for the exhibit.

Artist’s statement (400 words for collective projects or 400 words per artist)

CV

Kindly provide the contact information for one reference.

Photographs or Videos
-
5 - 10 photos in JPG, RGB, 72 dpi, 1000px high (variable width) associated with the planned exhibition

Video links, with a maximum duration of 5 minutes each. Videos should only be uploaded if they contain moving visuals, such as those from time-based media, videos, kinetic art, or recordings of performance art.

Artwork should be sent or delivered to WhiteBox and picked up on-site; the artist(s) will also be responsible for shipping costs.

Submit: Application forms are not considered until submitted and received by WBX. Once submitted, no changes can be made, and resubmissions are allowed.
