WhiteBox, as part of its Spring 2023 GreenBox@WhiteBox Urban Sustainability program, is hosting a series of workshops sourced by @earthcelebration . A diverse group of 60 participants from all ages and backgrounds get hands-on experience with projects and costume-making that highlight the urgency of the climate crisis and celebrate the sustainability-minded artistic community. Work will be showcased and paraded at Earth Celebrations’ Ecological City event—on May 8, 2023—with the goal of inspiring climate solutions and sustainable, equitable art-making practices in the underserved Lower East Side community public gardens.
